Anyone in regular activity with any children or young people aged 18 years or younger is required by UK law to hold an DBS.
As a youth team official, please contact your club welfare officer (CWO) or club secretary who will advise on the process. - All DBS applications must be processed through your club. You will be required to complete an online application, meet with your CWO with x3 ID documents and they should process payment.
As a referee, please use the attached 'North Riding DBS Guide' to apply through North Riding. You will be required to completed an online application, arrange to meet a local verifier with your ID documents and settle payment.
As an open age/Adult team official with no linked youth teams, please use the attached 'North Riding Open Age DBS Guide'. You will be required to complete an online application, arrange to meet a verifier (all leagues have their own verifier) and arrange payment, that your club should reimburse. If you have attached youth teams, please seek advice from the CWO.
Please note only once payment has been received (£10 admin fee) will your DBS process.
FA approved DBS' should be automatically added to your FAN provided these are clear. If any content (past charges, convictions) are detailed you will be required to send off the original DBS certificate for review before this can be FA approved. This is due to GDPR restrictions on sharing personal information and permissions.
